CONNECT CALENDAR ARISE KIDS ARISE YOUTH DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS ARISE KIDS Sundays at 10:00 AM & 5:00 PM Wednesdays at 7:00 PM Arise Kids is an awesome, free program for children on Sundays and Wednesdays. Your child will love learning about God in a fun, safe environment where they can learn, create, and play along with their peers and our fantastic teaching staff. Arise Kids Nursery AGES 6 WEEKS THROUGH 3 YEARS Our well-trained childcare volunteers are here to provide your little ones with a spiritually nurturing, safe, and fun environment while you worship. The nursery is available for newborns through age 3 at all of our regularly scheduled services. Because we understand that caring for children is a trust, every nursery volunteer is required to complete a thorough background check and additional child safety training. Nursery Coordinator: Rose Heine Arise Kids K4 - 6TH GRADE Children are not the future of the church...they are the church! Our goal is to help each child grow in their own personal walk with Jesus and become disciple-makers. During our services, your children will learn the Bible and how to apply it to their own lives. They will grow in a fun, secure environment that they will love. Because working with children is a trust, we have taken special care to create a ministry environment that is both safe and enjoyable. Every Arise Kids volunteer is required to pass a thorough background check and child safety training course. We can't wait to have your child join us! Each Sunday morning, Arise Kids are dismissed from the 10:00 AM service following the preliminaries and remain in class until the adult service concludes. On Sunday evenings, children go directly to class at the 5:00 PM start time, and class ends at 6:30 PM. Children's Ministry Coordinator: Stephanie deBlanc 3 Years - 6th Grade AWANA Cubbies (ages 3-5) & Kids4Truth Clubs (grades 1-6) are children’s discipleship and Scripture memory programs where kids can learn the foundational Bible doctrines and be taught to apply these truths from God's Word to their daily lives all while earning badges and awards! Ultimately, AWANA & Kids4Truth seek to help children become confident and articulate about their knowledge of the Bible! This program runs from September through May on Wednesday evenings. You will be a part of reaching our local community, the greater Houston area, and the world beyond with the message of hope and redemption. 01 The Bible We believe the Bible to be the revealed Word of God, fully and verbally inspired of God. We believe the Scriptures to be the inerrant, infallible Word of God, as found within the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation. We believe that God not only inspired every word, but that He has preserved them through the ages. (Psalm 12:6–7; II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:19-21) 02 God We believe in one God; who is eternal, self-existent, infinite, and immutable. We believe He has one nature, one essence, and one substance; yet manifests Himself to man in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; I Timothy 1:17; James 1:17; I John 4:4) 03 Jesus Christ We believe Jesus Christ to be the one and only Savior of mankind. We believe Jesus Christ to be eternally God and to possess all the attributes of Deity. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was virgin-born, that He was God incarnate, and that the purposes of the incarnation were to reveal God, to redeem men, and to rule over God’s kingdom. We believe Jesus Christ never relinquished any attributes of His Deity, but merely veiled them. We believe He lived a perfect, sinless life, at the end of which He was offered for all mankind as a substitutionary sacrifice for man’s sin. This sacrifice was a just payment to God for the forgiveness of sin. It was activated by His death through the shedding of His blood on the cross and was accepted by God upon His resurrection. We believe He ascended into Heaven after His resurrection to be seated at the right hand of the Father and is now waiting for the time of receiving His church at the rapture, which is followed by His return seven years later to earth to rule and reign as King for 1,000 years. (Psalm 2:7-9; Isaiah 7:14, 9:6, 43:11; Micah 5:2; Matthew 1:25; Luke 1:26-35; John 1:1, 1:3, 14, 18, 29; Romans 3:19-25; Romans 5:6-15; Philippians 2:5-11; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; I Timothy 2:5; I Timothy 3:16; Titus 2:10-15; Hebrews 7:26, 9:24-28; I Peter 1:19, 2:2; I John 1:3; Revelation 20:1-6) 04 The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit of God is a person who has personality and all the attributes of Deity. We believe the Holy Spirit has always been involved in the affairs of mankind; however, we believe He has a special ministry that began at Pentecost and will continue until the rapture. This ministry includes reproving the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit was also sent to regenerate, sanctify, seal, and fill all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:2; John 3:5-6; John 14:16; Acts 1:5; Acts 11:15; I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20; I Corinthians 12:13) 05 Sin and Salvation We believe all men were born with an inherited sin nature received from our common ancestor, Adam. We believe that because of his nature, man is a sinner by choice, and he is totally incapable of reforming himself or ceasing from his sin by his own power. We believe the only hope of deliverance for man is a total change of mind concerning his sinful condition and inability to change it, and a turning to Jesus Christ as the only Savior. We believe that only through the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ on the cross can a man be delivered from his sin. We believe that all those who reject Jesus Christ as their Savior are already condemned to an eternity in the lake of fire. (Genesis 5:1-5; Acts 4:19; Acts 16:31; Romans 3:10-23; Romans 5:6-12; Romans 6:23; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5-6; Revelation 20:11-14) 06 The New Testament Church We believe the local church is composed of members who have been saved and baptized according to the command of Christ, and have voluntarily united together for the purposes of worship, fellowship, service, and observance of the ordinances of baptism and communion. (Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 1:15; Acts 2:41-43; Acts 11:15; Acts 20:28; I Corinthians 15: 51-58; Ephesians 1:12-14; Ephesians 5:25-30; I Timothy 3:4-15) 07 The Last Days We believe in the literal interpretation of the Scriptures in their grammatical and historical context. We believe in the pre-tribulational rapture of the church saints, followed by the seven-year tribulation. We believe in the pre-millennial return of Christ to the earth and His literal rule of 1,000 years. Following this one thousand year reign is the Great White Throne judgment and then the new heaven and new earth. CONNECT CALENDAR ARISE KIDS ARISE YOUTH DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS Connect in the Word and with others Beginning September 6 and concluding with our group fellowships on December 13, 2026, we will study the book of Philippians together in a series titled Joy in Suffering: The Mind of Christ in the Life of Paul. Pastor Will is also preaching through this book in the morning services this fall. This letter to the Philippians was written by the Apostle Paul to a church that cared deeply for him and demonstrated their care through their faithfulness and their willingness to give. In our discipleship groups, you will experience a place where you can grow spiritually as you develop relationships with other people and as you grow in your understanding of God’s Word--both of which are vital for spiritual growth. Men's and women's groups will be available for upper elementary, teens, and adults in group sizes small enough to encourage study and discussion. Registration is open! He planted the church in 2017 with a desire to make disciples who make disciples here in Houston and across the globe. Caleb Reed Keynote Speaker Caleb Reed serves on the pastoral staff at Arise Baptist Church. He is also our staff evangelist and travels to preach in local churches across America for part of each year. Caleb has a heart to facilitate discipleship in the local church both here and across our nation. Tyler Gillit Keynote Speaker Tyler Gillit became the senior pastor of Worth Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas in 2016. He is a passionate expositor of God’s Word and is focused on making disciples both in Forth Worth and around the world. Adam Garber Keynote Speaker Adam Garber is the senior pastor of NorthSide Baptist Church in Nolanville, Texas, and the founder of Cen-Tex Church Planting. Acts 5:42 defines his ministry focus, and his desire is to extend that focus throughout Texas and the world through church planting.
